Yggdrasil Launches YGG Champions House-of-Brands Studio Program
Aaron Mitchell
Yggdrasil has officially launched YGG Champions, a new house-of-brands program established to back independent game studios, creative brands, and developers. The initiative is structured to assist these creators in achieving their specific title and marketing targets within the competitive iGaming landscape. Crucially, the program allows each participating studio to operate independently, retaining its own distinct voice, product philosophy, creative direction, and direct relationship with both players and operators.

- Partners receive investment, platform access, and production expertise.
- Suits & Royals debuts first title, Dealer’s Choice: Poker Edition.
Structured Support and Development Infrastructure
Through the YGG Champions initiative, Yggdrasil provides a comprehensive suite of structured support to its partners. Participating brands will gain access to direct investment and production expertise to elevate their development processes as slot game developers. Furthermore, the program offers crucial platform access, integration into Yggdrasil’s established commercial network, and targeted technology support to streamline game delivery.
A core component of this technological backing is Yggdrasil’s Game in a Box tool. Every studio partnered under the YGG Champions banner will be able to utilize this utility to access essential development infrastructure. By leveraging Game in a Box, developers are freed from underlying technical constraints, allowing them to dedicate their focus entirely to core slot elements such as game design, innovative mechanics, engaging online slot themes, and the overall player experience.
Inaugural Studio Partners and First Release
The YGG Champions program is rolling out with an initial cohort of three distinct game studios: Suits & Royals, Slightly Edgy, and Fish & Chips. These developers represent the first wave of creators to utilize the house-of-brands framework to bring their dedicated content to regulated slot markets.
The initiative has already seen its first official product launch. Suits & Royals, one of the three founding partners, has released its debut title, Dealer’s Choice: Poker Edition. This release marks the operational beginning of the YGG Champions program, demonstrating the transition from studio partnership to live game deployment.
Strategic Vision for Distinctive Brands
The primary objective of the YGG Champions program is to foster studio independence rather than corporate assimilation. Tomasz Kowalik, Managing & Product Director at Yggdrasil, emphasized this approach, stating that great creative brands are built around clear audiences and strong identities.
Kowalik noted that the new house-of-brands structure allows specialist studios to remain completely true to their original creative visions. At the same time, these developers benefit significantly from Yggdrasil’s underlying technology, operational support, publishing strength, and distribution scale. He clarified the company's strategic position by stating, “The goal is not to create sub-brands of Yggdrasil, but to enable distinctive brands to grow on their own terms.”
