About

RoboJack is a futuristic game, or at least the Microgaming’s idea of one. The action revolves around a robot colored in gray and blue, with a dollar sign on his chest, a sort of Superman logo. It’s not alone in its category, there are other games out there with a futuristic design, but this one comes from Microgaming and it does a decent job at it. RoboJack’s 243 ways to win occupy a total of 5 reels, which get 3 symbols in each case. There are payouts mentioned in the game that can reach $30,000, plus there are certain features that can improve your experience, including the scatter, the wild symbol and a bonus with five types of free spins that can be triggered through it.

Betting requirements

30 pay lines are included in the bet options that you can use in RoboJack. They’re considered sufficient when it comes to the coverage of the slot’s 243 ways to win. You may use up to 10 coins for each of those 30 fixed pay lines, but the minimum is just 1 coin per line. With the denomination ranging from $0.01 to $1, the complete range of your bets is going to be between $0.30 and $300.

Theme & Design

From RoboJack, you can expect a look into the future, but not a very realistic one. The effort was made to turn this into a good looking slot machine, with metal, cogs, gold and different energy sources used for the purpose. Sometimes, you’re getting a feeling that the action takes place in a factory, thanks to the surrounding graphics, which look metallic and appear to have yellow and black warning tape in some places. It’s going to be an enjoyable design overall though, and I can even say this about the low paying symbols, which do look like they belong in this futuristic factory like environment. When it comes to the symbols which RoboJack offers, the list starts with the robot that gives the slot its name. You have him among the regular symbols, while the features give you images of logos and vault doors. The rest of the regular icons include a treasure chest, some kind of battery from the future, an image of an atom and four Royals which look made out of metal themselves, with screws and metal chains being included in their design.

Special Features

The simplest feature that you will find in RoboJack will be the one that comes via the game logo. It’s going to be the wild symbol and will be helpful by being included in combinations alongside regular symbols. Useful as a substitute usually, it will also be part of its own combinations if you’re extremely lucky, since that’s when it pays some of the biggest prizes possible in the base game. The wild symbol doesn’t replace a scatter, but then again I didn’t expect it to be able to do that. The only other major symbol to pay attention to is the one marked Scatter, which appears to be showing the entrance to a vault, which has the dollar sign on the door. Having multiple scatter icons present means that you get paid, and at the same time you can trigger a feature as well. Rewards start from the value of the bet for two scatters, and reach 100 times that value if you get all five. For the extra feature, a minimum of three scatter symbols are required to be present. You will be triggering a bonus game where you get a random free spins feature, out of the five possible. You can take the feature that was triggered, or you can ask for another random choice. A total of five robots are available, each one with its own free spins feature. The orange robot has for you between 12 and 60 free spins, with extra wild symbols. The purple robot delivers 12 to 40 free spins, where scatters offer random prizes of up to 10x total bet for each symbol of this type. From the green robot, you can receive up to 20 free spins, with one wild reel available each round. The pink robot has between 10 and 65 free spins, which can be retriggered with as little as two scatters. Finally, you have the teal colored robot, which has up to 50 free spins where the wins are all tripled in value.

Robo Jack

Jackpot

The base game pays up to $30,000 via the scatter symbol, or up to $25,000 via the wild. You can triple that amount, to $75,000 for the wild’s combo, if you win it during the free spins which have the ability to triple wins. Just like pretty much all other slot machines that come from Microgamng, it should be a good choice RTP wise. It’s announced as being at 96.10%, which is considered on the high side.

Conclusion

RoboJack’s design is good, but the theme isn’t fleshed out quite as well as I wanted it to be. It’s going to offer some interesting features though, particularly if you enjoy free spins.
