Age of the Gods is an ambitious new series from Playtech, which is based on the gods of Ancient Greece. They seem to be focusing hard on it, and they’ve already released the seventh slot machine with this general topic. God of Storms is this seventh title. Focusing on Poseidon, this game has some interesting features and the usual graphics that are borrowed from the way things looked a couple of thousand years ago. God of Storms is going to give players 5 reels to spin, with 25 active lines present on them. Ultimately, you will be able to win up to $5,000 by playing this slot, with features inside including wilds and moving wilds, as well as Wild Wind Respins.
There are two sides to the bets that you select for the game, the lines and the line bets. The number of lines is normally at 25, but it can be reduced by players that want to do that. The line bet is starting out from the usual minimum value of $0.01 and it can be taken as high as $10. The maximum bet selectable for God of Storms will reach a value of $250.
Ancient Greece and its many gods have been the focus of this new series of slot machines from Playtech. The developer chose the topic since it gave them plenty of room to maneuver, and with so many gods present they had plenty of opportunities to create slots based on them. This is the seventh game they put out in this series, and they went with a sea inspired theme this time, with Poseidon being the one in the main role. The perspective is from a Greek city that is on the edge of the Mediterranean Sea, so you have buildings to the left of the reels and the coast and water on the right. The reels are in the middle, made out of marble and sporting images on them that have quite a few poker cards that seem to be made out of gold. The important symbols, the ones that don’t get the boring card logos, are sporting the images of sea snakes, an amphora, archers, soldiers and even women wielding short swords. The feature symbol has a Greek ship in stacked form. The quality here is good enough, but it’s not a great looking slot machine, it could’ve still gotten more work and nobody would’ve complained.
The features make up a relatively short list, one that has only one major symbol on it. It’s a stacked wild symbol that has the image of a Greek ship or that of a Wild Logo, which if you’re lucky you will have cover the entire reel that it appears on. Naturally, the wild symbols are usable together with low or high win symbols, helping them form their new combinations. The wild symbols are used on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th columns only, so they will not form a combination by themselves. They can still offer a reward of up to 25x though, if you get three Ship Wilds. A feature called Wild Wind Respin is going to start if you have a Ship Wild covering the three positions of a reel on which it lands. The ship will be blown by the wind towards the left side each respin, moving by one position each time. The respins continue until the ship leaves the game area. At the same time, with each respin that passes, there will be an increasing multiplier as well for the wins of those rounds. A maximum multiplier of 5x can be applied to wins that you get during the respins.
If we’re talking about regular payouts that may come, you’re going to want the Soldier symbol to occupy positions on all five reels and on the same line, either alone or with wilds helping it. It will pay up to 500x in the base game, or up to 2,500x during respins. The actual cash value would be at $5,000 and $25,000, respectively. An alternative would be the Age of the Gods Jackpot, which Playtech uses in all the slot machines it designs for this series. There are four of them, and they have different values, ranging from Power, to Extra Power, Super Power and Ultimate Power. There is a bonus game that can trigger to get you inside, a randomly occurring one. You simply reveal what hides underneath the 20 coins shown on the screen. Once you get three symbols that match, you will get that progressive jackpot. Hopefully, it will be the Ultimate Power jackpot that is revealed.
Gods of Storm is a typical slot machine for the Age of the Gods series. It’s got the usual above average graphics, a focus on a Greek god and some unusual features that can be fun to play through.
