iSoftBet's Red Dog; a New and Exciting Game

About iSoftBet

According to Mark Claxton, Head of Games at iSoftBet, Red Dog is a basic, fast-paced card game that delivers something new to players. The game features clear rules, big payouts, and smooth gameplay. And they're pleased to add it to their portfolio. He adds that it gives their slots a new dimension.

They provide over 150 proprietary slots and table games, as well as a library of over 8,000 third-party titles, using their sophisticated Game Aggregation Platform (GAP). GAP links online casinos with more than 70 of the industry's most popular online and mobile game software providers, including EGT Interactive, Pariplay, and Ainsworth, to name a few.

One of their innovative marketing and player engagement solutions, iNgame, is an automated, configurable gamification platform that enhances the user experience and allows partners to engage audiences more meaningfully.

How to Play Red Dog

Red Dog is often played by two to eight players, much like any other card game. The games can have more than two players, but no less than that. At the end of the game, participants compete to see who can collect the most chips. A dealer is also present, who collects stakes, shuffles cards, and distributes them to the players.

To play the game, a standard 52-card deck is used. Red Dog involves three cards at a time, ranked from highest to lowest; ace, king, queen, jack, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2. In the game, none of the card suits matter. To make wagers in the game, every player, including the dealer, should have chips or their equivalents.

Players place an initial bet before drawing two cards and laying them on the table, with room for a third in the center. In order for the bet to actually win, the value of the third card chosen must be between the first two. The difference between the first two cards becomes smaller as the payment amount increases.

It's also a realistic game. A third card is challenging to come up with, so if the first two cards are in consecutive order or a pair, the stake will be a Push. For a pair, a third card will be dealt, and a three-of-a-kind will result in a bonus payout of 11 times the player's wager.

The Payout System

The payout system for Red Dog depends on the spread. It means that a one-card spread will pay 5 to 1, a two-card spread will pay 4 to 1, and a three-card spread will pay 2 to 1. A four-to-eleven-card spread pays only one to one (even money). The top payout in Red Dog comes with a "0" value spread, as it's the three-of-a-kind result.
