About

Aladdin’s Wishes is going to use the story of Aladdin and of the Genie from the lamp for inspiration. It’s an often used theme topic in slot machines, quite popular among developers and players alike, just how the story of the Genie that grants three wishes is loved by many. It doesn’t look like a recent game, though, so it will have a dated look, but it will compensate for other areas, as you will learn below. Up to 20 lines will be selected for each round of Aladdin’s Wishes, the 5 reels being of a standard size, with 3 symbols on each one. You can win random jackpots as you play, or you can get the fixed ones, which go up to $2,500. The game will have a few other ways that it will make the experience more fun for you, like the wild symbol, its 2x multiplier, the scatters or the free spins (also with multipliers).

Betting requirements

You don’t have to worry too much about the bets that you have to place in this game. The biggest one will get up to $5, while the smallest one will be worth just $0.20. Those are the numbers usable when you have all the lines active, but that’s also a side that you can change, going with just one line if you want to, rather than all 20. The line bets will go from $0.01 to $0.25. It looks like a game that players with smaller budgets will love since they can max out the bets.

Theme & Design

The story of Aladdin should be a familiar one to many. The part that made the story famous was the Magic Lamp, which Aladdin finds. Once rubbed, the lamp will release the Genie that was locked away inside, and he will grant to his releaser a total of three wishes. This is the story that the symbols are telling us. We get only themed symbols, which is a nice treat in an industry where poker card logos are often used as filler content. It’s not the case here, though, and that’s a plus for me. The symbols start you off with Aladdin, with the Magic Lamp, Jasmine, the Genie, a Monkey, Arabic Palace, Flying Carpet, Sword, Bag of Gold, Crown, Bottle and Fruit Bowl. The mix is OK; there are plenty of symbols in there that are related to the story’s characters or their surroundings. As for the actual graphics, that’s one side that I could be happier about. It’s obviously not a new RTG game, it’s quite an old one actually, and its graphics look the part. They sometimes look like they could be good enough to be from some comic book, but the main characters are crudely drawn. Still, it’s a perfectly playable game, if all other areas satisfy you.

Special Features

We see Aladdin appear in one of the most important symbols, the wild feature, but it will only happen on three out of the five reels. The 2nd, 3rd and 4th columns are the ones where you see wilds appear. Even though they’re limited in their number, they do double a prize that’s awarded thanks to them with their multiplier, so they make up for their shortcomings. You’re getting these wilds as helpers in forming new combinations, but only when the regular symbols are involved. It doesn’t help you in triggering free spins. The Magic Lamp will grant you access to Aladdin’s Wishes, the feature. With this scatter symbol appearing at least three times during a single spin and starting from one of the two sides (left or right), you get to pick one of those triggering symbols, and you find out what you get. You can win a prize directly, of 2x to 100x the bet, or you can get 25 free spins. If you get the free spins, you will be taken to the feature, and you will start playing through them. All wins will be doubled during the free rounds, so this is where you can land the best prize, of up to 20,000 coins. The option to retrigger the free spins is also there, as long as you get another set of 3+ Magic Lamps.

Jackpot

It’s not some huge jackpot, but it’s a good return on your investment. You get a 5,000x reward for a regular combo of five Jasmine symbols. If the wild Aladdin contributes, the reward doubles to 10,000x ($2,500). If you also get this combo during the free spins, it doubles again, to 20,000 coins, or $5,000 cash.

Conclusion

Aladdin’s Wishes doesn’t give you the best design in its category, but it does pay well, and its features look appealing. It’s one of the good games from RTG, and one of their more popular releases.
